davelane85 0
Reciently, and I'm not sure exactly when, when I start an English film that also has an English Subtitle file, it automatically enables the subtitles, which is quite anoying and I have to disable it after its started playing I can find settings for this in the android mobile app, but not the Firetv app am I missing something? ebr 14949
Hi. The settings you found in the mobile app are respected in the Fire app too. Subtitles being turned on automatically will depend on exactly how you set the default subtitle behavior and whether or not you've played that item previously. If you have, and selected subs, then those subs will be selected the next time you play it.
davelane85 0
Thanks In the mobile App, I have language set to English, and mode set to smart The films are ones I haven't played before, but the subtitles are still automatically turning on
ebr 14949
Are they marked as "forced"?

ebr 14949
Can we please see complete details on a specific instance of this? Please also include the media info shown in the web app for the item you are playing. Thanks. How to Report a Problem

ebr 14949
Hi. Exactly when did you send the log from the app? I cannot find one from around the time of your posting. Also, that server log doesn't appear to contain any playback.
davelane85 0
Hmm it was right before my post. But I found a way to fix it. I just set subtitles to disabled instead of smart, I very rarely need to enable subtitles anyway
