CatSama 1
In the last version, i'm very glad to find that I can play GIF by Emby Web App. But then I found Emby’s Android APP still can't play GIF. I tried to find out why, so I used chrome's "chrome devtools" F12→Network→Img then I get the GIF's link: I also used the “share” button of Emby’s Android APP to get the GIF‘s link: Then I found the two links is almost the same, except the number behind "maxWidth" and "quality". I did some test and then I found only when the number of maxWidth is larger than the origin GIF's width and the quality is larger than 90, the GIF is animated. So I want to know if I can customize those number to make sure the GIF is animated in any devices or apps.
Luke 37248
No, those params are based on the size they will be displayed at as well the network connection.

But we got Video Quality setting , Music Quality setting in Playback. why not make a Image Quality setting? to allow us view our image file with origin size and quality Edited September 4, 2018 by CatSama
Luke 37248
So that we can let users force original and then report not working, slow, etc. That is troubleshooting I would rather just not have to deal with. You will just have to wait until if/when animated gif becomes fully supported. Thanks.
