Linux library path problem

I have just retried emby after a 5 year or so hiatus. I was previously running Windows but changed to Linux Mint.

I have several external drives connected to my PC that store all of my media files (movies, tv, photos). This was not the case when I was using Windows.

When I try to add the media folders to the emby library (by either searching or manual entry), I can only get as far as "/media/username/" (see attachment), so cannot see the media drives. However there is a folder at "/media.usb0/" that does replicate the data from one of my data drives.

I suspect the problem may be permissions related but can't see where.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

well what are the permissions of the folders and files?
