TV shows duplicating / reappearing

I recently deleted a few shows off my server and for some reason they keep reapearring. Was wondering if i could get some advice on how to debug what's causing it.

I tried removing and run Emby without any plugins installed and it still happened.

 

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks for the response,

 

I have deleted it from network drive + Emby, multiple times both way.

 

They keep reappearing under my TV section. I'll grab a screenshot next time they appear.

Hi, it happened again. So the 2 shows, in this case, are here:
Evil Genius (Was on there, since been deleted)
The Flash (Seems to duplicate, the one with (2014) is the actual folder with all the files in)

It's not just these shows either that seem to duplicate + reappear even after being deleted both via Emby and Folder, multiple others have the same effect as these 2.

 

Edit: Just checked, appears it's also doing it for movies too. Seems Emby is creating the folders for content that have already been deleted?

Both folders appear to be empty, and both are recently deleted, as you can see the House of Cards one has duplicated without a Date, and Evil Genius has reappeared

Took a look at the metadata, it appears somehow it has set the Season folders to the title of the Show??

I removed the Season NFO files and refreshed the Metadata, i'll respond if it fixes the issue or not.

That's not going to fix it. A folder directly under a tv library is considered a series, as of today at least. it's something we plan to revisit in the future but that is current behavior. thanks.

I think we lost track of each other, under my House of Cards folder, i have the seasons folders laid out as Season 01, Season 02 etc. However in the Metadata like in that last screenshot, the name of the title was set to the name of the series? Hence it created a new series folder?

 

Or am i misunderstanding how it works?

You had said reappearing so i thought this was about things that you thought were deleted.

 

As far as the house of cards thing goes, where did your season.nfo file come from? did emby create it?

Yeah, all my NFO should be generated through Emby. I'm positive for House of Cards atleast.

 

Also yeah, for example, Evil Genius kept reappearing so i'm wondering if another season folder somewhere had the text "Evil Genius" in the Title too and that generated a TV show folder

Oh boy, it happened again.

I'm well and truly stuck aha. I have removed all my NFO files, wiped out my libary.db and let it recreate.

all of the Movies/TV shows seem to reappear at the same time acording to the times on the folders.

 

I'm thinking it may be due to one of the schedule tasks? one of them creating it when its run?

Started turning them off one by one till i figure out what could be causing it.

TV Shows and Movies keep reappearing in my Libary. For example, here's 2 snippets of the logs when i have deleted the folder and it detecting it missing, and then it detecting it again?

Okay i set a script up to detect when the folders return and ping my phone, just checked and it had. The only scheduled task running was "Chapter image extraction" so for some reason, it doesn't realise that the TV shows are missing and is creating a folder for it?

Nah, i deleted the shows before the task ran, and every so often atleast 1-2 times a day it'll recreate the folders (Either TV Shows or Movies, sometimes both), which on the next scan will grab pictures etc and import it into Emby.

 

I'm really confused because i can't for the life of me figure out what's causing it, i'm pretty sure its Emby causing it because i have disabled everything else running for a while and its still doing it.

Found it only occurs every 12 hours, around the 6:00-6:30 mark.

Is there anything running every 12 hours that deals with making folders?
