I have also problems with movies and dolby digital plus audio and stuttering with my shield tv.

 

Tried with eac3 8 channel and also 6 channel.

When i select ac3 or truehd, the movies run smooth.

Searched for movies with eac3 audio. Seems that all movies stutter with eac3. Tried now with some different movies.

What is the hardware the Shield is connected to and how is it connected?

 

I have no issues with DD+ content in my setup.

My shild is connected with hdmi to my Denon avr-x2300w and there it goes to my Samsung Tv ES-series.

Hmmm. What can i do to find out the problem?

 

I have tried to connect my shield to the tv direct without avr, but then the media will be remuxed/transcoded. 

Stat for nerds says because of unsupported video? I think there should be written because of audio format. 1.6.49g

Also the audio bitrate was unknown.

I tried now many different videos with no luck.

@@ebr i have sent a link to you with a vdeo. Can you test this video please.

All videos are playing fine with emby theater on my pc, also with vlc and a direct connected hdd to my shield.

Thanks for the sample.  This is some sort of frame-rate issue.

 

I got stuttering until I switched my display mode to match the video at 24fps.  Then it played smoothly.

But my samsung tv switch to 1920x1080 24p if i start the video.

 

Edit: And if i switch the audio to ac3 or dts it plays perfect. Not in the file i sent you, because there is only dd+, but with my other movies!

Yes i have tried with different settings in the shield menu but nothing changes in this situation.

I have buyed two new xiaomi mix-boxes and have also tried with this. The same stutter problem as with the nvidia shield!


Today i have tried the mi-box at a newer Samsung TV F-Series but without AVR.
With this TV the Movies plays fine without stutter. (Direct Play!)

Does the two players sending something to my Samsung E Series that can´t be played or decoded?

If i should try something other situation, please tell me.
