Mintbox 0
I've been using Emby for a few months now and for the most part it's worked well. However I've had a few issues with it. I'm not sure if they're connected or not though. For Emby I'm using version 3.5.2, I only have the default plugins (Cinema mode, IMVDb, Open Subtitles). Though I don't use them. 1- The computer goes completely non-responsive. By this I mean I can't use any keyboard commands to wake it up or kill the offending program. The only way is to press the power button and shut the system off completely. (Which is something I hate doing... I'm worried that it's going to cause damage to the hard drive.) Sometimes I get only 2-3 days before it crashes. Other times I get a week before it crashes. So, to me, it's very sporadic and hard to track down just what the issue is. A month ago I tried reinstalling the OS and Emby hoping that would fix the issue but thus far it has not helped at all. I've tried enabling the experimental Intel hardware acceleration but it doesn't seem to have made any really difference. I've tried with emby being the only thing running (aside from OS components) compared with a few things (Vivaldi and Deluge) and it doesn't really seem to matter much. 2- I get "Stream not available" messages. I've tried to play an avi video file and got the stream not available error. But then a day later I played that exact same file, without thinking, and it played perfectly fine. So at this point I'm not sure what to do, any help would be appreciated.
Luke 37112
Hi, can you try going into dlna settings and changing the default alive message interval to 1800? Then restart the server and see if that helps. Thanks.
Mintbox 0
I've set the default alive message to 1800. So far I haven't seen the "no stream" error message. If/when it crashes again though I'll update with the log files from that.

Mintbox 0
The server crashed on the 14th (of August). Though because I've been pretty busy I just left it off until today. But as a result there doesn't seem to be any log files left from the day of the crash. (The system will likely crash again around the 8th so I'll try to get the logs for it then.) I tried to play a video and again got the no streams available. In the dashboard it showed it was trying to transcode... but it looked like it was failing. (It'd get to about 20 seconds into the video then start from scratch all over again.) embyserver.txt
Luke 37112
What do you mean by crashed?

Luke 37112
Ok, I don't believe this will happen anymore with the 3.6 release coming soon. Thanks.
Mintbox 0
Good to hear that. Though the system did go completely unresponsive today... So here are the logs since friday for that in case you want to take a look at them. embyserver.txt embyserver-63672128478.txt embyserver-63672048000.txt embyserver-63671875200.txt embyserver-63671961600.txt
