MerlinTA 0
Hi There I have an LG C8 and just updated the EMBY app The old one was working perfectly. I do not run an emby server My friend does. We all connect to him With the new app, everything is slow. When i try play anything, movie, series, any type format makes no difference. It hangs after 2 seconds, then 15 seconds later it plays for another 2 seconds and so on and so on Is there any way i can reload the older app. The new looks good but certainly does not work I was using the old one successfully for 2 month. Stupid me thinking new is better ! regards Merlin
Luke 37095
Can we look at an example? bloemb 2
i have a C8 too, updated the app and had similar problems like you. before i never had problems... i checked on my wifi router and saw that the tv was using 5ghz. i had issues before with 5ghz and other devices that are located at the same place where my tv is. so i switched off 5ghz on my router and everything worked perfectly again. i cant confirm, that my lg tv was using the 2.4ghz freq when everything was working before. but i saw lg updated their web os about the same time when the new emby app was released. i think they changed something, that changed the way the frequency is beeing selected. shrouski 7
Is the LG firmware up to date? My B7 had a firmware fix in May for 5Ghz, not sure if the 2018 models were also affected?
