heula 189
I notice a huge guide refresh difference between running the Emby server on my pc or running it on my Synology Nas. On my Nas it takes 12 minutes and 22 seconds to refresh the guide. I see the progress bar starting 4 times. On my PC it takes 42 seconds to refresh the guide. I see the progress bar starting just 2 times. I know my PC has better and faster cpu and all comparing to my DS418 NAS but this is a very huge difference. Why does it take this long on my NAS? Log Server NAS.txt Log Server PC.txt This is my guide.xml generated by webgrab. TVGids.xml Thanks. Edited August 3, 2018 by heula

heula 189
Any news on why this process is taking so long? It also is the reason why Emby is not very response during this time.
Luke 37186
It will be faster with the next release of the server. Thanks.
sector327 3
I just got a synology ds418play that I'm only using for storage for the emby sever I have running. I have my shares on it mapped w/ smb and I was just thinking that indexing is slower than when I had my library on a usb drive directly attached to the emby server. (The emby server is an intel i7 w/ 16gb ram so it makes more sense to run the emby on it than the synology. )
Luke 37186
I expect that you will see improvements with the next release. Thanks.
