After latest server update, there is alert: Check for plugin updates failed.

In scheduled tasks there is no more "Check for plugin updates". Is it intentional?

I am also having this problem, started on July 20, and has not succeeded since.  I am also having a problem with adding movies, it won't pull cover art.

Hi there, are you sure it failed? I don't see any failure in that screenshot?

Is it a hidden task now as plugin updates no longer appear in scheduled task?  Stable and Beta

Yes. Exposing the task for configuration allows users to destabilize their own setup by preventing critical updates from occurring. if you really, really feel like you need to , there is always the config file for that task.

You simply had a connection failure to our admin domain where the list of plugins is hosted:

2018-07-21 12:48:10.473 Error HttpClient: Error getting response from https://www.mb3admin.com/admin/service/EmbyPackages.json
	*** Error Report ***
	Version: 3.5.0.0
	Command line: C:\Users\NAS\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\system\EmbyServer.dll
Operating system: Microsoft Windows NT 6.1.7601 Service Pack 1
	64-Bit OS: True
	64-Bit Process: True
	User Interactive: True
	Processor count: 4
	Program data path: C:\Users\NAS\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\programdata
	Application directory: C:\Users\NAS\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\system
System.Net.Http.HttpRequestException: No such host is known ---> System.Net.Sockets.SocketException: No such host is known

Perhaps you're having trouble reaching our domain, or perhaps you have something that might be blocking the connection. I would look into that and then try again. Thanks.
