Galaxy Tab A Live Video Lag

I am streaming Live TV from my Emby server to a Galaxy Tab A over wifi.  Video looks fine but audio is roughly 30-60 secs behind, and sometimes audio drops entirely.  Stream keeps going though.

I have set my quality to 720p - 1Mbps but the stats for nerds still shows 8.1Mbps DirectPlay.

Anyone else see this issue?

Hi Luke,

Tablet is Galaxy Tab A (SM-T350)

Android 7.1.1

The Live TV feed is from Emby 3.5.0.0 server (Intel Pentium Dual CPU E2200 2.20Ghz, 4GB RAM, fresh Windows 7 install with only Emby Server and foobar2000 installed)

The Live video appears somewhat choppy and is about 15 secs behind the audio.

Can you try lowering the in-app quality setting to force a transcode, and see how that compares? thanks.

Lower than 720p 1Mb indicated in my first post?

If so, how low? Even with that setting nerds info said it was 8.1Mb

Are you sure because it would appear that you've either left it on auto or set it to a really high value. remember that the app has different values for local and remote access. i would check them under playback settings.

Thanks. Just for comparison though, what do the in-app settings say are your values?

But there are two values, in-network, and remote. what do the two of them say?

Home and Internet were both set to 720 1Mbs.

Interestingly, the video looks the same now (sound is way out of sync), but stats say only 125kbps.

I don't think that speed is possible while delivering HD video.
