Lawrage 13
Hi all, Am hopping someone can help me troubleshoot this. I have Emby Server (beta) installed on a Windows 10 machine, I installed some windows updates today, rebooted the machine and Emby did not auto start. I tried running the exe from the start menu and nothing happens. I downloaded the installer again, try and install and it goes downloading 3.5.0.0 Extracting Package The window then vanishes and the Emby icon appears in the system tray for a second then it vanishes. I can see the emby executable in my users/appdata/roaming folder but again when I double click on it nothing happens. Any ideas, any logs I can look at? Edit - Also just tried to uninstall and re-install and the same as above. Edited July 18, 2018 by Lawrage
Lawrage 13
Managed to get this fixed, looks like it was the 3.5.00 update rather than the windows updates / reboot. The update had renamed the system folder from system to system.old. Also deleted the gamebrowesr plugin from C:\Users\John\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\plugins as I saw that mentioned in another post. Luke 37248
The update had renamed the system folder from system to system.old. That's part of what the update process does, so that's normal. It sounds like the remaining steps were unable to complete because something was holding a lock on one of the folders.
