Unable to correct wrong metadata

Season 2 of “The Good Fight” has rather unique episode names. For example, s02e01 is called “Day 408” and s02e02 is called “Day 415”.

 

This apparently creates some confusion with Emby, because it treats “Day 08” as though it were episode 8 instead of episode 1. (See screenshots for details).

 

I used Metabrowser to fetch the local metadata. Everything seems to be correct, including how the files are named and the info inside the xml files.

 

I also tried force refreshing the metadata from within Emby. Again, this has not worked. Is there anything else I can do?

Do you have the XML metadata plugin? If you don't Emby will ignore the episode xmls and attempt to interpret the naming scheme.

Might be the hyphenated naming scheme but there are other topics about and issues with "01" naming issues. (01 - Day 408 = 01 as series name and 4 is season and 08 as episode)


Does the same happen without the hyphen?
