jbscout 1
This started a few weeks ago ... When playing a MKV with Closed Captions embedded, I have been getting a double CC effect on screen. You can see from the attached file that the subtitle ("Captioning made possible by Warner Brothers") is being drawn twice, over top one another, and oddly enough in different sized fonts. This doesn't happen with VOB subtitles (I can switch between the two in the same file). This doesn't happen when played via the web page or the Roku. The Fire TV log file has been sent. Thank you Edited June 4, 2018 by jbscout
ebr 14948
When you say "embedded" do you mean the subs are actually a part of the video (burned in)?
jbscout 1
When you say "embedded" do you mean the subs are actually a part of the video (burned in)? No, I do not. I mean they are not a separate SRT file, but integrated with the MKV (as a dynamically on/off "track"). Which is why I switch from the Caption subtitle "track" to the VOB subtitle "track". They are, however, marked/flagged as the default subtitle "track" Edited June 4, 2018 by jbscout
ebr 14948
Okay. Can you please try the beta version of the app? I think the root of this issue has been fixed. Thanks.
