Randomly deleting movie files

I had previously thought that emby was randomly deleteing movie files but had no proof until today. I did a 'search for missing metedata' on the Hot tub time machine collection and the server deleted the two movie files, but left the collection folder.

Attached is the server log.

I have zipped up the log file but it won't attach to the post, the file is ~ 16,7 MB and have tried from both Linux and Windows 7 machines using Chromium, Firefox and Edge browsers.

Any Suggestions

The two arrow spinning thing just sits there spinning, it doesn't upload the file (can see this from network activity).

Thank you for taking the time to do this. I think you are referring to these statements:

What this means is that the server is removing those items from the database, not deleting the files. If i had to guess, something else must have deleted the file and this is just the server reacting to that.

However I think you should update to the latest version of Emby Server and then let's re-evaluate after that. You can update manually by following the procedures mentioned here in posts #3 and #4:

Thanks.

No I wasn't referring to the logfile, I was referring to what phsyically happened in the file system.  The directories and files for the two movies where there, I did a refresh of the metadata, and the directories and files were gone. I have since done an audit of the file permissions and users and there are only two users that have write permission, emby and root.  I find it very difficult to believe that something else deleted the directories and files, seeing as they were gone directly after I did a metadata refresh, and nothing else has write permissions.

I'll look at changing to the new version, but does it still have problems with symbolic links?

I would try the latest version as it's possible there was a defect in 3.3.1 although I don't recall anything that was deleting files like this. As far as symbolic links go, I'm not sure what you mean.

@@Abobader has he reached some kind of limit?

Good day,

No limited, but if advanced (flash) did work for someone, then he try the basic one.

The one file size limited is 90mb for all members.

My best
