Hello

After the latest server update, subtitles will not work properly on dvd 480p and 576p. but bluray 1080p is ok
The material is in the same format I used for a very long time: h265, acc, as well as several subs in mkv. using handbrake: mkv/h265 profile, only thing i change is quality to 19,5 on dvd and using 22,5 on bluray

If i use kodi and play from emby is the same problem.
If I use vlc as an external player, it works.

The players I tested are: Nvidea Sheild and Mi Box 3

problem 2, the server is really unstable, i have to restart it very often, (it gets unresponsive) and it seam it having problems with the certificat after updating, ( have tryde to reinstall it again, so i see how it works in a little while )

//Regards

As far as the subtitles go, did you forget this?

User policy for tux: EnablePlaybackRemuxing: True EnableVideoPlaybackTranscoding: False EnableAudioPlaybackTranscoding: False

yes i saw that, but the thing is, it has never been a problem before upgrading to the latest version.  it's a bit strange to have to transcode just  for the subs,  and wy is that necessary on this version but not on the old version (ubuntu apt-get version)

o and i forgot one thing, it does show sub using direct play, but only some times, like every 3-4 line

hmm ok,

the server still gets unresponsive on https after removing the requested plugins, i can reach the server lokal using http://8096, then i push restart in emby, and a work again,

this is very strange: it works a couple of hours then it stops responding again, and i have to sign in lokaly and do a restart. (just happen again)

Ok that sounds like this issue here which we are actively working on:

Please follow that topic. Thanks.

Hi.  What exactly do you think has changed wit Android TV playback?  There shouldn't be any differences in subtitle support I don't think.
