trmentry 0
I'm really not sure on this... but thought I would mention it. I have 2 DS918+ Synologys. For the most part they are the same. My primary one is running Emby. The other is used as a backup destination and for VMs. With Emby running on the primary.. I noticed that over the last 5 days... my memory usage creeps up and up. From the update to 3.4.1.0-1 the other day.. when it was done updating memory was around 5% or so. I updated the day it barked at me to update which was on May 8th. Today.. memory was sitting at 44%. I went to the webgui of Emby and restarted it... and memory is back down to 5%. I'm not really sure what you would need for data collection. And this wasn't over scientific to try and narrow it down. But my secondary Synology doesn't show this issue... and emby isn't running on it. Only Synology factory applications. Thanks for your time. trmentry 0
Hi there, please attach the information requested in how to report a problem: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/739-how-to-report-a-problem/ Thanks. Hopefully this will work I dug up the server logs that are were on the Synology. My scp of them to my desktop changed the time stamps... here are the originals. -rw-r--r-- 1 embysvr users 8502159 May 9 23:59 server-63661507200.txt -rw-r--r-- 1 embysvr users 7563825 May 10 23:59 server-63661593600.txt -rw-r--r-- 1 embysvr users 7167595 May 11 23:59 server-63661680000.txt -rw-r--r-- 1 embysvr users 4262524 May 12 23:59 server-63661766400.txt -rw-r--r-- 1 embysvr users 737562 May 13 05:19 server-63661785580.txt -rw-r--r-- 1 embysvr users 2162629 May 13 11:36 server.txt I had upgraded around 6 days ago to the 3.4.1.0-1 version. My DSM version is 6.1.6-15266 Update 1. Since posting this morning... memory on the system has gone from 5% to 8%. Let me know if you need any other data. Or screen shots. server.txt server-63661785580.txt server-63661766400.txt server-63661680000.txt server-63661593600.txt server-63661507200.txt
trmentry 0
Here are 2 screenshoots from this morning. Memory had creeped up to 22% from the 8% the other day. I took 1 shot before I restarted Emby. And 1 after restarting.
Luke 37064
I don't really see much in the logs that I can suggest to make changes with. I think it will just go up and down based on usage. The synology package uses the mono runtime. In the future we'll switch to the .net core runtime which will be more efficient. Thanks.

majorsl 20
I'm probably going to get you some logs this weekend. Since the last update, possibly the one before, I've seen my RAM increase about 10% per day. It does not go down. Emby is currently using 4.15GB of RAM and not being used nor is anything like a library scan happening. Since I'm new to Synology, I've kept an eye on things since I'm still in the honeymoon stage . As I recall, previously my RAM usage for the entire box (8GB) was never over 15%. Before I blame Emby too heavily, my Synology hasn't been rebooted in 49 days and Emby has been running since whenever the last syno package update was. Clearly a couple of reboots need to happen to troubleshoot first.

And watched on the other browser the mem usage of the nas go down. I'm currently at 25% from my restart 2 days ago.
majorsl 20
Yup, sure enough a restart from the Emby GUI dropped me down to 21% while a scan library is happening. I also removed a couple of plugins I no longer use too.
