notkaa 1
Hello ! How can I activate transcoding via hardware acceleration ? I choose VA API, my server is in version 3.4.1.0, and my QNAP model is TS-253 Pro All my clients are iOS or web When media is transcoding the CPU is full so I think there is no hardware acceleration thank's for your help Edited May 10, 2018 by notkaa

Luke 37151
Ok, then if you're running our official QNAP package from our website, VAAPI support is included. Are you doing that?

Luke 37151
This is mpeg4 which vaapi does not support. Try playing something where the source video is h264.
notkaa 1
h264 mkv for exemple ?

OddbOd 21
I think it works. To bad for the mpeg4...The speed difference you are seeing is because the Westworld episode is already an H.264 bitstream, hardware acceleration is definitely not being used. notkaa 1
So how can I test the hardware acceleration ?
Luke 37151
Try lowering the quality setting in the video player to force it to transcode.
