MrLinford 61 Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 I have got XBMB3C installed on XIOS DS device. I have configured it up but when launching it stays on loading... Any ideas?
xnappo 1597 Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 (edited) Need a log with XBMB3C debug turned on. http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Log...d#Location xnappo Edited March 25, 2014 by xnappo
MrLinford 61 Posted March 26, 2014 Author Posted March 26, 2014 Ok dude, will try and get this done tonight.
xnappo 1597 Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 try a different user name The username he is using is 'craig' - but 'Amz & Bin' is in the returned data. MrLinford: So - we suggest changing that username to something more computer friendly. We have no idea if this thing will work on Android BTW. xnappo
xnappo 1597 Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 @ - any ideas? Note that this is an Android device - first person to try as far as I know. Looks like a hard crash right after the UserId query. The only thing suspicious I see it the quite un-code friendly username of 'Amz & Bin' but I don't think that is if. xnappo
MrLinford 61 Posted March 27, 2014 Author Posted March 27, 2014 Just tried again with debug enabled. XMBC stuck on loading again but showed on the server dashboard in the active devices section. Logs attached, hope you can find the fault fast Just using XBMC on its own for now xbmc.log xbmc.old.log
MrLinford 61 Posted March 27, 2014 Author Posted March 27, 2014 I removed the 'Amz & Bin' user completely this morning before work, still doesn't load. Will get new logs when I get back home. Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk
xnappo 1597 Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 I think you need to set up XBMC on a Windows box first. That way we can separate any setup and network issues from running on a Android box. I don't think more logs from the Android box will help as it appears to just crash after retrieving the user names. xnappo
w84no1 27 Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 I have it running on 4 of my Raspberry Pis, I will see if it runs on my Ouya tonight. 1
xnappo 1597 Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 Cool. A youtube video would be awesome if you have time. xnappo

xnappo 1597 Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 maybe. one thing though none of the metadata including images are loading I assume you have tried restarting? Sounds like maybe the service crashed. It works fine in Windows right? xnappo 1
MrLinford 61 Posted March 27, 2014 Author Posted March 27, 2014 OK will setup on my PC when I get home to see how it goes. Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk
Solution MrLinford 61 Posted March 28, 2014 Author Solution Posted March 28, 2014 Working fine on the windows version. I did some more reading on the Pivos Forums and found the Linux version to be more stable than Android. So install the Linux software (http://www.pivosforums.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=941) and it now works!! 1

So install the Linux software (http://www.pivosforums.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=941) and it now works!! That was fast! Any comment on how fast/slow it is loading content? The Pi is *really* slow to show large collections. xnappo
xnappo 1597 Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 It works on the Ouya just fine. How is the speed compared to Pi? xnappo
w84no1 27 Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 How is the speed compared to Pi? xnappo At least 10 times faster. I might replace my PIs with Ouyas :-) 1
