I noticed i am still getting this error after the new server update, I will post a log below.

I would really like to get the play to feature working on an avr for music purposes.

Not really sure how to accomplish getting this working with the new device profile, maybe something useful is in the logs that may help.

I tried to create my own profile, not sure if i was doing it right, this is the new log...

Also their appears at least in the web browser no way to control dlna playback from the web client now. Unless its my imagination when i sent something to a dlna client before i thought i could hit the remote icon and hit next, or stop, ect... now i dont see a way to control it...

So i think my profile works, the log no longer gives the profile error, but it still doesnt seem to play music to my avr, still getting the 500 error as per the last log above.

I did find this website not sure if it would help about yamaha dlna info on my avr.

If you don't mind please grab the server dev build. It won't solve the problem but will contain more logging information. Set your update level to dev, get the update, then change the setting back to what it was before.

Ok i will see what i can do (last time i switched to dev i had some problems show up, but i suppose thats part of trying to solve issues), i am curious to know if anyone reading this has got this working on an avr, i have seen a few posts beyond these saying play to, to an avr has not worked, anyone have a denon or marantz ect...that has got this working?

I know my yamaha has a "dmc control" setting that allows it to send music from windows media player to the avr, so i would think its possible.

Can you try to install the new devbuild and post a new log?

I have the 500 error on my LG tv, will this update help me out as well?

I also can't get my LG 55LW5600 to work, always get the error such as 500 server error as well as other error messages if I keep trying it... do I need to do something with the profiles and if so is there any guidance for that as I have no clue what to do :-)

Thanks!

Im still on dev so if i shouldnt be reporting this yet, just let me know.

The good news is the avr now see's media browser 3.

The bad news i still get a 500 error.

I tried out an app called skifta where it lets you push music to dlna devices and that worked, but it also acted as a dlna server as well. When i tried to click on mb3 on the avr dlna page it gave me access denied which i assume will happen since mb3 doesnt act a dlna server. I dont know if thats an issue? Just throwing it out. But my avr does see it now.

It's the dlna server coming in place. In next dev build you will most likely see the server, even if you won't be able to interact with it.

Ok thanks for the reply, i still cant seem to push play music to the avr though, should that be working yet? Or is that something still being worked on, or simply something i might never be able to do?

It should work.. Can you please have a look at this site http://www.upnp-database.info/ and see if you can find your device there? Otherwise use their discoverytool to download the XMLs so that we can inspect them and see what's wrong?

TIA

Yes it is here.

The profile issue/error went away after i created the appropriate profile, but the play to still is not working and i keep getting errors in the log.

Last one i had just posted had a new error

  1. DlnaServer: Error sending Datagram
  2.         The requested address is not valid in its context

and some other stuff.

I can continue providing more info if you need me to do anything else let me know.
