Derickva 3
My emby server is a intel NUC i3 6100u 8 gig of ram running server 2012r2 and ssd for transcoding Storage wise I have a Free NAS server with 47TB of space so I'm good I have no problem watching 4k content locally but my remote users sometimes have issues with regular content sd -1080p I have a 250 down 20 up connection I would say max load is 4 people watching at the same time they connect through a pfsence openvpn connection and use kodi on the clients I have the max streaming set up on emby server for 6mb for remote clients My question is if I made a new server with a nvidia card or an SLI setup would it speed things up for them? ie less buffering currently the kodi clients have playback max set at 3mb are there any settings I can adjust better? Thanks in advance
Luke 37251
Hi, in this case with Kodi the are likely direct playing most of the time, therefore you're probably better off spending money on a faster cpu rather than gpu.
