QuentinC 0
Hello, I have been using Emby for a few months now. It's running on my server, on a Docker container. This week, I have got some huge crash on my file system, that corrupted the host (not able to boot anymore)... I've decided to reinstall the host, a Debian machine. I've then put back the emby files on the new host, and started back the docker container. I've switched to the bare docker command instead of the emby-server file that I were using before. Everything seems to be working fine, I can login and play files, play status is the same as before the crash ! I only see one problem, every user appears twice both on the login page and on the admin interface... Both with the same user id. I'm not totally sure that this was caused by the crash-restore because I haven't looked at this before. I also think that I've got a newer version of the server now. Do you have an idea of what can cause this ? Thanks a lot, Quentin Edited May 6, 2018 by QuentinC
Luke 37264
Hi, how are you verifying that there are duplicate user id's?

Luke 37264
If you restart the server does it still look that way?

Luke 37264
can you shut down the server, find your users.db file, zip that up, and attach it here? thanks.
Luke 37264
If you delete one of the Veronique's, do they both go away, or just one?
QuentinC 0
Okay it seems that deleting the users may be working. If I delete one user, they both disappear, but one of them is back after server restarting ! Doesn't the users.db contains passwords ? :s Thanks, Quentin
QuentinC 0
Well it definitely works... Not easy to understand but it has fixed the problem here ! Thanks !
Luke 37264
Yea i'm trying to look for something that would cause this, although if you had a file system problem that could be related as well. Thanks.

Luke 37264
Ok no duplicates in the db, so that suggests it's just some kind of display problem. I will have to investigate more to try and determine what might cause this. thanks.
QuentinC 0
If it can help I can give you an access to the server. It's not a problem if I have to delete all users, but I would like to keep the media database as it takes a huge time to make ! Thanks a lot ! QuentinC 0
Hello ! Just to inform you that after deleting the SQLite temporary files, and cleaning the database (removing duplicates using an external SQLite editor) I no longer have the issue ! I think that something was wrong in the temporary files. Thanks
