Arkieboy72472 2
So, maybe I need to start from scratch. IDK. It is broke and it won't start back up. Can someone walk me though how to: 1) delete my old service and 2) create a new service I have an idea, but it isn't working as I try it. The old service won't start. Where the hell is the server exe installed now-a-days? This is very frustrating. It worked fine before the update. EDIT: I learned to read in the span of about 5 minutes and fixed my own issue. Details below. Hooked on Phonics works for me! Edited May 4, 2018 by Arkieboy72472
Arkieboy72472 2
EDIT: I fixed my own problem. If your crap also broke as well, here is what you do: First: reboot your PC after the update 1) open a tab with this: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/Running%20Emby%20Server%20as%20a%20Windows%20Service 2) Open an Administrative Command Prompt 3) If you installed nssm properly, the exe is in /Windows/System32 so type without quotes "nssm remove EmbyServer" (Hopefully your service is named something like that, if not, type the name of your service) 4) It should prompt you to make certain. If so, your good and click ok. 5) Type nssm install Emby and a little dialog box should open up. 6) make all of the changes the tabbed web page tells you to. check all the tabs. In the service name box "EmbyServer" 7) do a ctrl+alt+del and then right click and start the service. 8) open a browser and see if your server is up. 9) If not, come here and bitch about it to Mr. bazinga like I always do until it fixes itself or you figure shit out.
