Ravenshield 1
Not sure what happened but after one of the last updates the video quality looks worse then Divx used to when that was first introduced. I've tried playing with the settings but its not helping. FreeNAS running an Emby Jail - Version 3.3.1.0 I could post specs and such but as a test I setup Plex within a few mins and the quality is 100 times better. This is likely an issue with transcoding. Happy2Play 8356
At that low of a bitrate I would expect very poor quality. What is your quality set to (click the on screen gear)? -maxrate 64000
mbnwa 49
Why is the video bit rate on the transcode set so low? what is the quality setting while playing this back? Can you try setting to 720p and see if that clears it up? Edit: Happy2Play beat me to it, I was reviewing the logs when the post came in Edited May 3, 2018 by mbnwa
Ravenshield 1
Ok this must have been set by one of the kids. Video player on the device was set to 144. I set it to the max 480 - 4Mbps and its fixed the problem. Is there any way to set this server side and disable this on the player?

This can be set per user (user icon-Playback) but I don't believe there is a way to lock it so users can't change it per client. @@Luke Edited May 3, 2018 by Happy2Play
