Question about my user settings

For some bizarre reason I can't play any files within Safari (Web app). I get a playback error message saying "No compatible streams are currently available" (see attached screenshot). I have also attached the server log file.

I hardly ever watch something on my laptop so not a biggie for me but am certain it used to work in the past.

 

Emby v3.3.1, macOS 10.13.4

You took away user permissions for transcoding. You are getting exactly what you asked for.

Hi @@Luke,

 

Many thanks for looking into this. I must have disabled transcoding to force direct play without realising this could affect local playback. Still learning.

Does this mean Emby has a difficult time directplaying anything?

@@chemicalsam, no it doesn't. When you use the Emby web app you can direct play whatever the browser you're using supports. 

What if you get this same error on the iOS app?
