i can seem to figure howw to get emby to separate two different folders on two separate external drives

the tv show S.W.A.T from 2017 keeps being integrated into folder S.W.A.T from 1975

on one external under folder television I have a subfolder S.W.A.T (2017)

on another external under folder television I have a subfolder S.W.A.T (1975)

how do i get emby to realize that they are two separate shows

by the way I have mission impossible (1966)

and Mission impossible (1988)

both Dynasty's and 3 separate tomorrow people shows with no issues

only on S W A T does emby seem to have this issue

Not sure this will help, but for the time being, uncheck "Automatically merge series that are spread across multiple folders" if this is indeed checked. Then maybe you can identify them separately. Again, not sure if this will help, just an idea.

I would looks at the External Ids in the metadata.  The only way they should be merged is if they both have the same IDs.

alphas idea worked it gave me a couple of empty folders on the screen for ceratin shows  but i can live with that

(some shows with names that are duplicatesof another show, rush from australia  and rush from america. and blue murder uk canada and austrailia .) but at least now every show has its own folder

each those 5 shows now has 2 folders but im gonna try deleting the empty ones in metadata mgr

yes that worked

I think Happy's answer is probably the more correct one...

I would agree. My suggestion was just more of a band-aid. Glad it sorta worked, but probably best to use @@Happy2Play's suggestion.
