tuvx 14
I have two playlists appearing which instead of showing a path of %AppData%\Roaming\Emby-Server\programdata\data\playlists\ are located on my NAS with an extension of *.wpl. I tried deleting the from the NAS and in Emby, but after a few days they reappear. Any idea how to permanently remove?

tuvx 14
I attached screenshots, which show exactly what I stated. Please let me know if you need more information. Also, I do not have Windows Media Player installed on my server. Below is the content of the wpl files: <?wpl version="1.0"?> <smil> <head> <meta name="Generator" content="Microsoft Windows Media Player -- 12.0.7601.17514"/> <meta name="ItemCount" content="0"/> <title>Test</title> </head> </smil> <?wpl version="1.0"?> <smil> <head> <meta name="Generator" content="Microsoft Windows Media Player -- 12.0.7601.17514"/> <meta name="ItemCount" content="0"/> <title>Music</title> </head> </smil> embyserver-63659087996.txt Edited April 13, 2018 by tuvx
Luke 37251
we what time in this log did you try to delete it?
tuvx 14
I do not recall, I searched all the logs for Apr 11 and 12 as that is when File Explorer states the wpl files were modified/created, but only the attached log has any reference (line 365, 2018-04-11 07:30:19.070). I am not able to delete directly in the Emby web interface as it states I do not have access; I delete from the NAS, then I delete from the Emby interface. Vicpa 572
Hi @@Luke It looks like he is running beta .15. With the auto import if something else creates/re-creates that file, won't emby keep trying to import it? See my comments/questions in the testing area. tuvx 14
Just to clarify, I believe Emby is creating the playlist files on my NAS. My issue is not why they keep appearing in Empy, but why Emby keeps creating them automatically? I am not, nor do I have any services running that would; I deleted them again this morning at 11:08 am, and they reappeared about 2 hours ago. embyserver.txt embyserver-63659214525.txt
Luke 37251
No, Emby doesn't create those files automatically. This whole new feature we added into the beta recently is about recognizing playlist files that are already in your folders. we don't create them.
