Network credentials with external static IP and special Port

Dear community,

we´re trying to setup an Emby Server on a regular Linux Webserver with a static IP. Everything works fine by connecting via browser with https://X.X.X.X:Port (we don´t use standard port).

However I want to use the emby library with Kodi. Therefore the Emby for Kodi addon is a nice tool! Connecting to the server is working, sync is working and the content is meanwhile in my Kodi library. However I´m not able to start playing the video files since the network credentials are missing.

Which data should I put into the network credentials of the addon in case of an external static IP with special Port?

\X.X.X.X:Port\

or

X.X.X.X:Port

or

https://X.X.X.X:Port ?

And which network username should I use? My Emby user login?

Alternatively should we use path substitution / (optional) shared network folder in the emby server settings? But what should I put inside here if I have a folder like /mnt/video?

Thanks in advance!

Remote access is only available for add-on playback mode. Make the change in the add-on settings > sync options, then reset the local database. That's all you need to do to get video playback working.
