I am looking for best quality when playing my movies and do not want to trancode the videos (which reduces the quality). So, I wanted to check how the technology of the following ways to play work.

MBT directly from MBS - this should not be transcoded, right?

Airplay?

Chromecast?

DLNA?

Thanks in advance!

Good day,

1 - Yes for MBT/MBC if the MB3 server over lan and you already provide UNC path sharing.

If the server same as the client on the same PC, the nno need for UNC path sharing.

2 - Yes as well for DLNA.

3 - The MB3 server provider have option to not transcode title to client if the media format can play without transcoding to that client.

Airplay? Is that Apple wireless access point?

My best

Airplay is Apple's version of Wireless DLNA... Similar to Google's Chromecast and Intel's Wireless Display.

Apple's wireless access point/router is called an AirPort.
