hstamas 153
I was hoping someone could explain the thinking behind the following scenario: An actor stars in a movie I have in my library. He also has been in a couple TV show I have recorded. The info screen that appears when I click on the actors picture shows all the movies he's been in followed by a selection of TV shows he's in then finally a list of episodes he's in. The thing thats weird to me is the episodes list has shows that are not in the series list. Let use Jason Sudeikis as an example. He is listed as being in some movies: Angry Birds, Bounty Hunter, Epic etc. He is listed in being in a show: Saturday Night Live He is listed in being in a bunch of episodes: 30 Rock, The Cleveland Show, 2 Broke Girls etc. Whats the difference between shows and episodes? Shouldn't logically the show section have all the series that are in the episodes section? Just seem incomplete or weirdly redundant?
Solution Luke 37259 Posted March 23, 2018 Solution Share Posted March 23, 2018 that's just the way the metadata comes from the internet providers and we don't normalize it. he must have been a guest start on an episode. but he's not listed on the series because he's not a series regular.
