Luke 37097
Hi there, I would suggest switching to our new QNAP package: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/51334-new-qnap-package-for-testing/ Please let us know if this helps. Thanks.
xalio 0
Hi Luke, thank you so much, that helped. But why was this so sudden?

xalio 0
The problem came overnight, without any change. Why?
Luke 37097
I'm not sure. You were using a community maintained QNAP package for Emby which I haven't personally tested myself. That's why I asked you to switch to our package.
schogobong 3
Hi everybody, I am having the same issue as xalio. The library itself is fine and I can look at the overview with all my movies, but as soon as I want to play a movie or look at the movie details it just keeps on loading. I have a QNAP ARM (TS-431P), not a QNAP x64, so I am assuming, that the above instructions do not apply to me. My Emby is V3.3.0.0, which seems to be the latest available version. What could I do to get my Emby running again?

xalio 0
For the completeness. I reinstalled Qmono and instead of ffmpeg I installed Qffmpeg (The path to ffmpeg must be set manually). After that everything went smoothly.

schogobong 3
Allright, hope this is what you are asking for: accessing app.emby.media works fine and I can view my entire library. However, when I click on one of the movies to view the details, the loading circle appears and just keeps spinning without ever showing the movie details you get when clicking on a movie. I don't get an error message or anything, it just keeps "loading". The same thing happens when I try to play a movie. It doesn't give me an error or anything, the loading circle just keeps spinning without ever playing the movie. Is it save to just post the link to the logs on my NAS here or are there any information included that shouldn't be made public? Never needed to do that, sorry. Thank you very much for your help Luke!
Luke 37097
Hi, If you're concerned about information in the logs you can always send it to me via private message. Thanks !
schogobong 3
And it's not that I am not telling you what's happening properly, it is litteraly just that colored loading circle that keeps spinning around and around until I close the window. schogobong 3
Hey Luke, Not sure if you saw it, but I sent you a personal message with my log yesterday Thank you so much for your help and have a great day!
schogobong 3
Hey everybody, As I am still experiencing the same issue I just wanted to ask if anybody had an idea on how to solve this? Because at the moment, Emby is pretty much useless for me :/ To summarize: - QNAP TS-431P (ARM, not x64) - Everything is up to date, Emby version 3.3.0.0 is installed - It all worked fine until a few days ago (I think Emby and QMono were both updated at around the same time, so it might be one of those) - I can view my library and all (altough it did become a bit buggy) but I can neither play a movie (loading circle keeps spinning) nor can I view the item details (loading circle keeps spinning). You can find a log attached. To produce the log I tried to play a movie and then just waited for a while, while the loading circle was showing. Then I cancelled it and grabbed the log file. Any help would be very much appreciated as I have come to love Emby. It is an amazing tool but unfortunately it's quite useless right now (you know, unless I want to look at my library ) Log.txt Edited March 22, 2018 by schogobong
Luke 37097
Yea there are lots of errors coming from QMono. Do you know what version you had before that?
schogobong 3
I always kept them up to date. Right now I have V5.10.0.160 (installed on 2018/03/17), so I am assuming that I had V5.10.0.140 before. March 19th was the first date that I noticed it not working anymore, so that would be right after the QMono update.
Luke 37097
Ok, you might want to go back to a previous version. The errors in your log are something i haven't seen before.
schogobong 3
Sure thing, I will try that. There's only one issue: I've only ever installed apps through the App Center. What do I need to do to install an older version of Qmono? A (very) dumbed down version would be appreciated. Sorry for the inconvenience, I am very thankful for your help Luke! Luke 37097
Unfortunately I don't know the answer to this. Perhaps @@PenkethBoy might know?
PenkethBoy 2063
where are you updating the package from? App centre? Qnap Club? or manually loading the package?
schogobong 3
I am planning to install an older version of Qmono via manual installation. But I'm pretty sure I just managed to figure out how to do that (sorry for the stupid question..). What I can't figure out tho is which package I need to install. There are four version available: TS-NASX86 64BITS TS-X41 TS-X28A TS-ARM-X19 My NAS is a QNAP TS-431P. I thought it was an ARM NAS but it failed to install the last package (TS-ARM-X19) due to wrong architecture. Any idea which one I need to use or just trial and error? schogobong 3
Installation of the x41 version worked I installed it from here: https://www.qnapclub.eu/en/qpkg/193# under "Old Versions" I am restarting Emby now to see if that was it! keep your fingers crossed please
