Emby Connect issue

I can't seem to get Emby Connect to work outside my network. I only publish emby over https... I can access it from https://myserveraddress.com:8920 . If I try to connect through emby connect, I get "were unable to connect to the selected server right now"

How can I make emby connect work only using https?

Hi, what Emby app are you using? What kind of SSL cert do you have?

I was attempting to use app.emby.media... chrome console shows its only trying http: with 8096 and never trying https: with 8920. I have a Comodo RSA wildcard cert.

What does your emby server dashboard display as your remote address?

I think I figured it out... if you don't check require remote connections to use https then Emby Connect won't try the https connection. It seems to be working now.

On a different note, the new network settings you added don't seem to be working. When I specify the the networks to be considered "in network", its not treating other networks as "out of network"

I want to limit bandwidth on the particular client below, but its still direct streaming:

What am I missing?

I noticed in both tests the IsInLocalNetwork: True even though that local ip address in not in the subnets I specified for the local lan.

I'm trying to force all clients to be considered external, so this is of great interest to me.

The description attached to that field, would seem to indicate that it only affects the internal/external classification for the purposes of bandwidth restriction and not for anything else. @@Luke could you confirm whether that assumption is correct?

What's the actual subnet on the interface on the server set to:

[root@[member="Gemini"] ~]# ifconfig -a

        inet 192.168.1.30  netmask 255.255.255.0  broadcast 192.168.1.255

I would expect yours to be a /25 or 255.255.255.128 based on the addresses you have entered in the LAN area.

"Comma separated list of IP addresses or IP/netmask entries for networks that will be considered on local network when enforcing bandwidth restrictions. If set, all other IP addresses will be considered to be on the external network and will be subject to the external bandwidth restrictions. If left blank, only the server's subnet is considered to be on the local network."

I have a special setup on this system with multiple interfaces... I want ONLY the subnets specified to be considered on the local network.

This is the interface with the default route:

This is interface has static routes and a stretched vlan over a tunnel... The first half of the subnet is on one side and the second half on the other... as far as the interface is considered, its a /24 and will broadcast across the tunnel.
