Ghostm 74
Im just taking a guess here comparing looks like after he browses the plex service it only shows this between the server and client all in the proper purple 1271 24.123299000 192.168.1.3 192.168.1.2 TCP 1514 [TCP segment of a reassembled PDU] 1270 24.123223000 192.168.1.2 192.168.1.3 TCP 66 38633 > 32469 [ACK] Seq=349 Ack=724764 Win=65535 Len=0 TSval=4294967276 TSecr=39493864 In mb3 it seems to be showing similar in purple but then you get a few very dark colored grayish lines constantly, i looked here and that seems to indicate a problem. It has it showing tcp flags ? https://ask.wireshark.org/questions/42/usefull-color-rules Those grayish colored lines show as an example of one 14716 72.319726000 192.168.1.2 192.168.1.3 TCP 66 55161 > 8096 [FIN, ACK] Seq=1092 Ack=54323 Win=63712 Len=0 TSval=4294950561 TSecr=39477086 14718 72.417456000 192.168.1.2 192.168.1.3 TCP 70 55162 > 8096 [sYN] Seq=0 Win=5840 Len=0 MSS=1460 SACK_PERM=1 TSval=4294950570 TSecr=0 14719 72.417563000 192.168.1.3 192.168.1.2 TCP 70 8096 > 55162 [sYN, ACK] Seq=0 Ack=1 Win=8192 Len=0 MSS=1460 SACK_PERM=1 TSval=39477159 TSecr=4294950570 I really dont know thats the only pattern i could see in differences. punterbo 0
There's no MB playback attempt because I don't see any content in any of the folders. I've noticed something else strange - when I was going to Movies, I was only seeing 6 movies in the list. Curiously, these movies all have the movie file split into two or more smaller files. I've removed these movies from my library temporarily, and now have no movies in the list on the TV at all. Progress? In TV Episodes, I can see all the episode folders, but when I drill down into them they are all empty. Regards, Stuart
JBFM 1
In my W805A videos from my computer are usually played by DLNA. But the contents of the folder where the plugins should appear remain empty. Edited August 24, 2014 by JBFM
sbiswas 0
I am using a Sony BRAVIA KDL-40HX750. By default settings, only one movie could be played (container MP4, video codec H264, audio codec AAC). After changing DLNA profile to "Sony Bravia (2012)" and adding a srt subtitle profile to it , many more movies (all MP4) showed up and could be played. However, mkv and avi containers are not playing. On trying to play from my computer after choosing the TV as player, I am getting - (500) Internal Server Error. Log attached. server-63552564689 - Copy.txt
GB Utah 4
I'd like to offer to be of any assistance to this effort if it's still needed. I'm fairly new to MB3, but have fiddled with serviio, plex, xbmc, etc and I (unfortunately most of the time) have a smorgasbord of Sony around the house (PS3, KDL-50EX645, BDP-S5100, BDP-S390).

That would be fantastic, thanks! The first thing i would do is jump on the development version of the server as it has a number of Dlna improvements. GB Utah 4
I have been able to extract the ProtocolInfo results from some of my Sony devices (oddly the PS3 didn't appear in DeviceSpy, further investigation) I'll be attaching the results here for the BDP-S390, BDP-S5100 and KDL-50EX645 DeviceSpyBDP-S390anon.txt DeviceSpyBDP-S5100anon.txt DeviceSpyKDL50-EX645anon.txt Edited: Just FYI all devices are more than likely US version only. All purchased stateside and connected for firmware updates via US internet IPs. Edited February 4, 2015 by GB Utah

chessdragon136 677
Not sure if its related but going back many years (2009 maybe) I used to have a Sony TV and had issues with TS playback on it, and after a bit of rummaging in my old notes this eve I found that my answer was that it doesn't support MPEG_TS_PAL but it uses MPEG_TS_SD_EU_ISO. GB Utah 4
Lots of research, info gathering, not much hard analysis yet. Day job and devices are at home ... I have the development MB3 server running on one computer pointed at a minimal set of files and the release branch pointed at my full library. Will post more soon. Luke 37095
The latest beta of Emby Server, 3.1.125, has numerous fixes for Sony Blu ray players from years 2013-2016. The changes will also be in the next stable release of Emby Server. Since I have a device for testing I am now able to test it fully and with the changes I've made everything is now playing perfectly. It's possible that some of these improvements can be applied to older players or sony bravia tv's, but I do not have those devices available to test with, so for that I'll need to rely on community help. Enjoy.

dansblackcat 37
I've been having issues with the DLNA on my 2013 Sony TV (KDL-32W670A). The Emby server appears on the TV but it's stopped showing any folders. About once a fortnight it works fine but the rest of the time it never shows any media. Partial log attached. Let me know if you need any more info? log.txt Edited June 25, 2018 by dansblackcat

Luke 37095
Thanks, that's strange. Unfortunately I don't have a 2013 unit for testing but I do have a 2014 bravia and am not seeing any problems on that.

dansblackcat 37
Ok so almost by pure coincidence last night I discovered that my DLNA on my TV works if I also have my WMC PC running as well as my server (obviously). If I turn off my HTPC the TV shows no media and appears to never really connect to the server even though it appears fine. The only think I can think of is that my HTPC has my tuners and serverWMC installed for live TV. Maybe this is an issue being on a different PC to the server? **Also I noticed on the TV that Resume, Next and Latest work fine but the folder "shows" has no media in it. Log attached Jump to around 21:00 - 21:30> Server 192.168.1.10 HTPC 192.168.1.20 TV 192.168.178 (from memory) 280618.txt Edited June 29, 2018 by dansblackcat
Luke 37095
Ok, I'm not quite sure what the issue is. I'll do some testing on my 2014 model. Thanks.
