How do you fast forward and rewind on the Fire TV? Pressing the buttons only skips forward the amount specified in the user settings. If you want to fast forward 15 minutes, it takes a lot of button presses. I am using the standard FireTV Voice Remote.

And how do you do that? I need to relay this information to family with limited technical knowledge. The fewer button pushes the better. Wife already complains about having to turn Closed Captioning on all the time.

Hit any key (arrow down works) and then move along the buttons on the bottom of the OSD and click on the one that looks like a movie clap-board.  Then navigate to the chapter you want and click it.

How about letting those that purchase the app adjust the skip forward time?

Holding the right/left/ff/rew button down will cause it to start skipping in larger increments over time.  You can now skip very quickly through an entire movie.

When I hold down the Right button, the video skips only 10 seconds and slowly on my Samsung TV.  It doesn't skip faster in larger increments over time as you said. Please fix this.

Tried on version 1.6.4, 1.6.9, 1.7.0. In every version, this issue is present.

You've posted in the AndroidTV client app section, which is completely different app than the one you're using on Samsung SmartTV. Post under respective forum section to see whether that function is even implemented on that platform and, if so, what is user feedback, whether yours is an isolated issue or systemic one.
