denz 426
It works here I checked my guide and it is in the same order. I checked the live tv in metadata manager and all the channels are in the order i put them long time ago. Could it be some other setting in the tv guide that is overriding it. On my one it has sort by channel number. I have changed the numbers around to test and it is reflected accordingly so it is working. Netti93 0
You are absolutely right. I checked again and there are just a small number of channels that still have the sort order set. For most of them the field simply is empty. Can't tell what has caused that (perhaps I just f*cked up sth but I don't think so). I just had to set sort order again and everything is in the right order now. Is it possible to lock the field in the metadata manager to prevent it from being changed inadvertently? Luke 37112
The sort field will be empty unless you customize it.
denz 426
I had few times where all those fields got wiped out so it is unlikely that you have done it I have reported it when it occurred. It has been a while since the last time that happened. Edited March 16, 2019 by denz
tgessendorfer 7
Hello, can someone please provide updated and current info with an example how to adjust the M3U files for proper Channel sorting/order? I am running on the latest linux build of Emby and added the following Snippets to my m3u but sorting still doesn't apply: #EXTINF:-1,tvg-id="1" My Program name #EXTVLCOPT:program=10301 http://123.456.0.99:1234/1:0:19:283D:3FB:1:C00000:0:0:0: I would like to show up the Channel list in Emby with my channel sorting. No idea how Emby handles this internally but it's a bit of a pain to get the Channels properly sorted.
