I was on emby 3.2.6 on Ubuntu. I ran and update through Ubuntu Repos to upgrade to 3.2.7. Upon doing so my Emby installation we defaulted to a new install. Luckily have I configuration backup, but why did it dp a fresh install?

Update command: 'apt-get install --only-upgrade emby-server'
Repo: deb http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/emby/xUbuntu_14.04/ /

The 3.2.6 was a fresh install by downloading the deb package from the website. It was something you recommend to me in another thread as I was having ssl issues for media playback only, and my original install was quite old and had just been updated through the repo.

Ok so to update you would go back to the website and follow the install procedure to install the new version.

Correct yes. We may at some point in the future establish a repository so that you can do apt-get update, but these packages are brand new right now and we haven't had a chance to look at that yet. Thanks.
