krisjanis2000 0
Hello! I recently installed Emby on my Qnap server. Everything works perfectly with no problems except HTTPS. I am trying with te port, but it says page not found. Any ideas?
Luke 37148
hi there, have you configured an ssl cert?
krisjanis2000 0
I have configured it for Qnap web server. Do I need to do it for Emby separately? If yes, how do you do that?
Luke 37148
hi there, in the advanced section of emby server setup, you'd have to specify an SSL cert such as Lets Encrypt. Please let us know if this helps. Thanks.
Zmajur 1
Today I manage to run Emby with SSL following this tutorial. Except, you cant run on port 443, looks is reserved for qnap. Im still learning.... Edited January 9, 2018 by Zmajur
Luke 37148
Yes trying to use 443 will always be a little more complicated.
Zmajur 1
Qnap have option to change server default 443 port. This doesent help. I dont know should stop service from ssh or maybe must make some reverse proxy. Problem is I dont know where and what files to edit. Is anybody manage to run emby on port 443? krisjanis2000 0
You should change Qnap web server port from 443 to something else so no other services are using it.

By the way connection is fine, video files played without problem. Like I say at beggining, Im just curious is this connection is encripted or not? Thanks... Not sure, but i can see you are using the older mono based package which has a different ssl implementation.
Zmajur 1
Thanks for response. I Will try latest mono. By the way I yust switch to "mono" after I tested beta Emby product. Hope you will resolve ssl crashing connection in near feature. For me you are the best because you have apps for many platforms and you dont require to be connected on your server like Plex... I like privacy...
