On most DVR's (Sky / WMC) where a program was brought up in the guide that was also an in progress recording you were offered an option to play from start, i.e., start the recording. So the options should be Tune to Channel Play From Start Record Record Series Cancel Recording The main problem with this is the still ridiculous decision to make the selection of any on now program from the guide in the web client start the channel rather than bring up the program details.
