Is there a way on ServerWMC to disable Channels from showing up in the Guide?

I have disabled Channels in Server WMC Setup for those with DRM and those that are encrypted but they all show up anyways.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Just to make sure I understand, in the 'channels' tab of swmc you set it to hide encrypted and drm'd channels, but these channels are being imported into mbs anyway?  How do you know the channels are drm'd?

You can always hide them in windows media center.

I am going of the assumption that when I view a recorded show in WMC the show info states the show is Copy-Protected, sometimes it say Copy-Once.

And yes I do have the checkbox selected in ServerWMC  set it to hide encrypted and drm'd channels.  Does it take a while to show the results in MB3 after it is checked, maybe that is my problem.

I can't deselect them in WMC cause the channels work fine on my extenders, I just want my remote people to only see the OTA channels for live TV.

Hope that clears it up.

I spoke to soon, I did not wait long enough, now all but one OTA channel are the only ones showing.  Seems to be working ok now except for one item, I have one channel that is not showing up that is an OTA channel.  Any way to manually enable just one channel?

I do have multiple channel tuners combined (Cable and OTA) so they show in one channel listing and I had to reorder my Tuners so an OTA was last to get those channels to show up.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Sorry, I'm still confused:

The problem is you have one OTA channel that is not showing up in MBS.

OR

You have multiple sources for this one channel (OTA and Cable) and due to the tuner preferences you set in WMC, the cable is first in line which makes this channel not show up since the cable channel has DRM.

Either way, go to:

%programdata%\vdsoftware\serverwmc\config.xml

and temporarily set

Debug_AllChannelDetail to true.

Then restart swmc, and after it is started post the log file (see 'debug' tab in swmc).  Also, let me know which channel to look for.

Actually both of your assumptions are correct except I have the OTA tuner set as the first tuner with the issue.

Here is the attached log, the channel with the issue is 1012, I found it in the log and it says it is copy-once but that is not the case.

Thanks for finding this.  This is a bug with CP handling and I can see where the problem is.  This is the first time I have seen a case where there are two different sources for the same channel, one with drm and one without.  I need to think about the best way to fix it.  I will hit you up to try a fix before release if you are willing, but either way I will try to get something into the next release of swmc.

Glad I could help, just give me a holler when you need me to test it.

I just PM'd you with a pre-release of swmc.  When you can, see if it fixes this problem since I can't test it.

Log looks good (Copy-Free) but 1012 still not showing up in MB3.  File is 1500KB and to big to upload, how can I get it to you?

Just PM'd you the link for Log.

It does look correct, so it should be transferring.   This might be a case where you have to force mbs to re-read the guide data.  Did you try that?  Or just restart mbs.

That was the issue, it was on the Guide this morning.

Thanks, where can I make a contribution for your efforts.
