Cast Trailer

Hey there,

 

I was switching from PLEX to emby and I'm really satisfied. But I've got one question about casting trailer. If I hit the "Trailer" button at the movie summary screen on my smartphone it starts playing a youtube trailer on my phone. But if I'm connected to my chromecast 2 it starts playing some random stuff of my libary (e.g. a episode of an unseen series). I've tested this on two android 7.0 phones. If I try to cast a trailer from the web app (windows 10 / chrome) it gives me the same result. If I connect to my chromecast while playing the trailer on my phone it plays random stuff on the chromecast again.

 

 

Is it generally possible to cast trailers? 

 

My emby server is running on a Synology NAS. Server got the version 3.2.50.0.

hi @@str34ma, welcome ! 

 

You can cast trailers if they are video files in your library, or if they are provided the by trailer channel plugin. If your trailers are coming from youtube urls, then currently you cannot cast those, but it's definitely possible for the future.
