So I just finished the build for my new "Backup Emby" server which will be housed offsite at my parents house accessible via a 1Gbps Site-to-Site VPN.  Specs are as follows:

MoBo:  ASRock Rack E3C236D21

CPU:  Intel i3-6100

RAM:  16GB DDR4 2133 RDIMMs

SSDs:  2 x 480GB Intel 730 SSD's for 1GB cache pool

HDDs:  8 x 8TB Seagate SMR Drives

HBA:  IBM M1015

Case:  U-NAS NSC-810a

PSU:  Seasonic SS-300M1U

Sitting on top of my server rack replicating data from my main storage server for now until I move this to my parent's house next week.

Nice - I have the same motherboard in my main server.

I was contemplating one of the U-Nas cases, but ultimately decided against it due to having heard that airflow was poor. What's your take on it?

I can't speak to what the temps would be with a high powere CPU but my i3-6100 and HDD temps are just fine.  Some people swap out the rear fans for Noctua's but since this is a backup server and not my main rig it won't get hit that hard so I shouldn't have an issue.
