Emby has stopped playing some videos that were fine before

Hi,

 

A strange thing has happened only in the last few weeks. I have been using emby for a few years now. I run the server in a docker container off a Linux server

and run the clients from an Nvidia shield and a Philips android tv.

 

Recently certain videos just don't play and player gives up. These same videos worked recently. The only way around this is to set emby to use an external player

such as vlc. However, I was watching a show last night. Emby wouldn't play it even passing it to vlc. So I then used the vlc app on the shield natively and browsed to

the same file and it played fine.

 

I am guessing there could be corruption maybe with the emby database? I don't know.

 

Has anyone else come across this problem.

 

Oh and one other thing which I am sure it couldn't be related is this happened around the same time as taking out an emby premier subscription?

Hi.  We would have to look at a specific example to diagnose but are you running the beta server?
