Android TV Live tv will start stuttering/pausing

As the title says after about an hour of streaming live tv it will start pausing every 5 secs or so and will keep doing that until i restart my server. If i watch the server dashboard and watch the time of the stream it counts by 2...2, 4, 6, 8, then back to 2. Then it may go a little farther. 6, 8, 10, 12 then back to 6 again. This is happening the same time that my video stream keeps pausing then starting. This really only happens during a long session of 45mins or more. I do notice that if i watch my disk activity there is a ton of transcode processes that are using up a ton of disk usage and that number only grows over time. Ive tried changing just about any setting that i can think of to no avail. Has anyone else come across this or experienced anything like this?

That sounds like a hardware bottleneck - perhaps the disc drive where your transcoding temp directory is?  What is that pointing to?  Does that drive have plenty of free space?
