I had not installed Artworkdownloader and all Artwork was synced from Server to Kodi. However, after the Skin switched to ArtWork Beef, no Artwork was shown. After I installed the Artwork Beef and Artwork Helper, the Artwork was shown. But I am not sure, if Artwork Beef scraped it or if it still comes from Emby. According to the Artwork Beef, the Artwork is not stored locally but only links are stored in the Kodi DB and Kodi Cache does all the Rest. So I want to know how Emby for Kodi does it. Is the artwork downloaded and stored with the files (in extrafanart) or is the Artwork set in the Kodi library itself Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Angelblue05 4130 Posted November 9, 2017 Share Posted November 9, 2017 (edited) Emby for Kodi doesn't store artwork. It forces Kodi to cache your artwork. Artwork is usually in the thumbnails folders alongside your userdata unless you are using path substitution to move the folder to another location. When Kodi caches artwork from Emby, it uses the emby url, it does not point directly to the files. I hope this answers your question.
