This problem is presenting itself on both my Apple TV 3 As well as my Apple TV 4K. Both of them are in the US, and a set to display English. To start with - are you all Emby Premiere subscribers? Then, can you each show us what your subtitle settings are set to on the server? Finally, can you guys test this with different users. Handl3vogn 6 Posted November 5, 2017 Share Posted November 5, 2017 (edited) I have a similar problem on my friends appletv 4 unable to enter playback settings and evrything he plays transcodes at 1,5Mbit (low quality). edit: He is a guest user, and only signs in using emby connect. Preferred subtitle language is set to Norwegian. Subtitle mode: no subtitle. and he is streaming over Internet (my line is 150/150 and he has 15/3). Gets this message on server: The media is being converted into a format that is compatible with the device that is playing the media.Reason for transcoding:Container not supportedVideo codec not supportedAudio codec not supportedMedia bitrate exceeds limit. Sarithz 2 Posted November 8, 2017 Share Posted November 8, 2017 I also found that logging off of media connect and restarting the app fixed the issue with my AppleTV force transcoding everything at a 1.5 mbit setting.
