cherup 3
I have recorded a .ts container with a h.264 video and ac3 as audio. As I want to play this with my FireTV I have seen that video will be transcoded instead of playing directly. Is there something I can configure that direct play is possible with that device ? arrbee99 1560
Not sure if this'll help, unless you've seen it already of course. https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/49542-firetv-ts-files-streaming/ Just something I came across. Solution maegibbons 1267 Posted September 28, 2017 Solution Share Posted September 28, 2017 (edited) Yes. .ts are always remuxed now because seeking is unreliable within a .ts container Krs Mark Edited September 28, 2017 by maegibbons
BAlGaInTl 279
Is this Live TV that you have recorded with Emby? Or was it from another application? I've set my settings in Live TV to automatically convert to MKV while preserving original audio/video. Seems to be better than transcoding while streaming. cherup 3
Thanks for the answers! I have recorded the .ts files via my Enigma2 receiver - so not via Live TV - so I assume transcoding is normal. Is there a possibility to auto convert these files to MKV via emby ? Luke 37090
Indirectly, yes. Check out the folder sync option: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/Folder%20Sync Thanks.
