bpbastos 1
Hi I've been dealing with this problem for some months but can't find any solution, I'm using the lastest stable versions of emby server for linux(3.2.31.0) + tvhclient(1.1.1.0) and tvheadend (4.2.3-85~gda9f14c). The emby server isn't refreshing the guide data, these logs lines seems related to the problem: tvheadend2017-09-21 08:40:25.288 htsp: 192.168.2.14 [ embyserver | TVHclient4Emby-3.2.31.0 ]: Identified as user 'embyserver' (unverified)2017-09-21 08:40:25.288 htsp: 192.168.2.14 [ embyserver | TVHclient4Emby-3.2.31.0 ]: Welcomed client software: TVHclient4Emby-3.2.31.0 (HTSPv20)2017-09-21 08:40:25.289 htsp: 192.168.2.14 [ embyserver | TVHclient4Emby-3.2.31.0 ]: Identified as user 'embyserver'2017-09-21 08:40:25.289 htsp: 192.168.2.14 [ embyserver | TVHclient4Emby-3.2.31.0 ]: Privileges updated Emby2017-09-21 08:40:25.280 Info App: [TVHclient] HTSConnectionHandler.ensureConnection: Used connection parameters: TVH Server = '192.168.2.13'; HTTP Port = '9981'; HTSP Port = '9982'; Web-Root = ''; User = 'embyserver'; Password set = 'True'2017-09-21 08:40:25.280 Info App: [TVHclient] HTSConnectionAsync.authenticate: start2017-09-21 08:40:25.282 Info App: [TVHclient] HTSConnectionAsync.authenticate: authenticated = False2017-09-21 08:40:25.282 Info App: [TVHclient] HTSConnectionHandler.ensureConnection: connection established False Any help would be appreciated. server-63641579938.txt Edited September 21, 2017 by bpbastos
hcgonzalezpr 0
I'm seen the exact same issue using Emby 3.2.70.0 and tvheadend (4.2.5) / tvheadend (4.3-1006~gd381d71e3).
Luke 37199
@@hcgonzalezpr, please run the guide refresh, and then when it completes, please attach the information requested in how to report a problem. thanks.
hcgonzalezpr 0
@@Luke here's a clean log with debug enable. I restarted and executed the Refresh Guide, after that I access the channel list and saw it empty. 24.4 is the emby server. 24.26 is the tvheadend server. I have confirm the tvheadend works correctly by connecting it to kodi (using the same user as the one used on emby). On Tvheadend I see the exact same as the previous posted. The user on tvheadend is emby and has all enabled except admin access, and I have it setup to use the pass profile. 2018-01-26 13:55:53.019 htsp: ::ffff:192.168.24.4: Identified as user 'emby' (unverified) 2018-01-26 13:55:53.019 htsp: ::ffff:192.168.24.4 [ emby ]: Welcomed client software: TVHclient4Emby-3.2.70.0 (HTSPv20) 2018-01-26 13:55:53.031 htsp: ::ffff:192.168.24.4 [ emby | TVHclient4Emby-3.2.70.0 ]: Identified as user 'emby' 2018-01-26 13:55:53.031 htsp: ::ffff:192.168.24.4 [ emby | TVHclient4Emby-3.2.70.0 ]: Privileges updated server-63652593301.txt Edited January 26, 2018 by hcgonzalezpr

Luke 37199
It completed in three seconds, which is unusually fast. I am not an expert with Tvheadend so i can really only help you from the emby side. We'll need @@Tolotos help. However, I notice you have HD Homerun, is that right? hcgonzalezpr 0
However, I notice you have HD Homerun, is that right? That is correct. I added the HDHomerun to it, and it to test,it does show the channels from the HDHomerun. So the issue its related to the TVHEADend plugin, I removed the HDHomerun to keep the troubleshooting easier. Luke 37199
Emby has native support for HD Homerun. You don't need to use TV HeadEnd at all. I would go into the server Live TV section and setup your HD Homerun tuner. Please let us know if this helps. Thanks.

Thanks for the suggestion, I do use the HDhomerun directly, but I also use TVHeadend as proxy for a few iptv channels that don't work as .m3u8 links in emby. It used to work like charm till I updated my ffmpeg to build that has a bug spamming in the piped data. I rebuilt my tvheadend server with a patched ffmpeg and now i got the issue with the plugin not finding the channels. Hopefully @Tolotos will be able to help. hcgonzalezpr 0
@@Luke, @@Tolotos, I figured the issue out, for some reason when reading my channels in s TVheadend it dint parse the channel id. So all channels where channel # 0. While this does not cause any issues when connecting from Kodi, the Emby plugin will silently ignore them. Luke 37199
How did you determine this?
hcgonzalezpr 0
How did you determine this? Check all the settings on tvheadend and notice that when adding channels it was not parsing the numbers from the custom piped m3u8 list. Remembered I read this somewhere in the forums while trying to fix my issue. https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/24766-tv-headend-live-tv-channels-missing/?p=242918 To confirm, I went and manually set the channel number to something different than zero on Tvheadend and did refresh guide data on emby and the channel showed up. Then I switch one of the channels to zero and did a refresh guide data, and it got removed instantly.
