Recently I've noticed that it takes a really long time for the Emby WMC plugin to start up - so I thought I would reinstall the plugin. When I downloaded and tried to run, Panda antivirus blocked it claiming this was a virus "W32/Exploit.gen". I downloaded from Emby website https://emby.media/emby-for-windows-media-center.html Anybody else see this? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
ebr 14912 Posted September 3, 2017 Share Posted September 3, 2017 I haven't seen this reported but it has to be a false positive if you got it from us. The installer hasn't changed in a very long time. Can you report it to them as a false positive please? As for your initial issue - you didn't need to re-install. More than likely your server address changed and you had the app set to automatically connect to the old address. The page you referred me said to change a setting in the app. I can't find a similar setting in WMC or in the Emby server adminstration - can you help me locate?
