Globulus 1
Hi, I'm not able to stream behind 5Mb/s. This is not dependant of show or movies. It was working smoothly until last Wednesday (something like this). When trying to launch a show or movie I have blue circle moving and after a while screen come back on show details and say "Too many errors. Giving up" This is working fine fine from same network with PC and Chrome. Log has been sent through Android Apps few minutes ago, logged user was "Alex". You can see pic of my screen here: Current Setup: Nvidia Shield V2 I keep my server up to date, automatic update all nights, using Version 3.2.28.0, it is on linux debian. Server is on an external datacenter Connection speed is by cable 100Mb/s Edited August 27, 2017 by Globulus
kanipek 224
Hello sorry to hear about your troubles. Have you tried rebooting the shield, router, server and switch (if using one)?
Globulus 1
Already rebooted shield Yes. And as it is working from Chrome on same network, is not related to router or server.

Playing TV Show Suits S02E01: Filename: SUITS 2012 S02 E01 1080p Bluray Multi DTS HD-MA 5.1 x264-ELEK.mkv Name of user is Alex I'm trying to play the episode. When I click on play, black screen appear with blue circle turning few times and finally coming back to resume episode screen with popup error (see my screen on first post). The only solution to play it is to set speed to 5Mbps or below. Same issue with other episode, other TV Show or movies. No issue when playing with Chrome. ebr 14919
Can you please attach the server and ffmpeg logs from that session? The server is throwing an error trying to transcode that item.
Globulus 1
You find it here, normally should be direct play. Alex.zip
ebr 14919
Best guess is that your version of ffmpeg is out of date. Unrecognized option 'break_non_keyframes'. Error splitting the argument list: Option not found You can shut down the server and delete the ffmpeg directory under the server directory and then start the server back up and let it bring down our default. Yes this is exactly correct, however on linux you will need to update your installed version. If this is not an option you can also download a new version from here: https://www.johnvansickle.com/ffmpeg/ Then configure it under the Emby Server Transcoding menu. Please let us know if this helps. thanks !
ebr 14919
Sorry, had my Windows hat on . As for why it is transcoding - looks like it is DTS multi-channel audio being played on a system that can only support stereo. Likely all that will be done is an audio conversion. We will be looking into a way to hopefully do that conversion client-side soon.
Solution Globulus 1 Posted August 29, 2017 Author Solution Share Posted August 29, 2017 Great, it's working now. Regarding output only in stereo, in fact on the shield it was a crappy option present, in video&sound/advanced options/surround need to set it to automatic or always if not direct sound is not working. Thanks for quick help. Cheers.
