Françoise 0 Posted August 27, 2017 Share Posted August 27, 2017 Since I updated to Android 8, Emby has not been able to discover my Chromecasts. I have tried: Re-installing Emby, Clear data. Clear cache. Reboot Chromecast etc. Other devices are discovered just fine. Other apps, including the system see the Chromecasts. Emby running on older versions of Android also see the Chromecasts. I imagine that Emby must be using some unconventional Chromecast discovery, that is not supported by Android 8. Let me know if you need anything else. Cheers! kanibus 0 Posted September 4, 2017 Share Posted September 4, 2017 I'm having the same issue with the mobile app. Using the webpage from a mobile browser works fine. OS hasn't been officially released yet has it? I don't blame the developers for this issue with a new OS. Kodi appears fine, as well as the Chrome browser casting to webpage from mobile client.
