Recording Wont Play Remux Requires Transcode

Hi

 

@@ebr

 

I recorded the following film the other evening.  It does not play if it just tries to remux it because it is a .ts.

 

If i lower the birate to force a full transcode it plays.

 

Any obvious reason for this from the media info?

Continuous spinning circle of doom - Trans/I displayed.

 

Playback correction does not fix.

Can you please play the same channel in the web app and, assuming it plays properly, post the ffmpeg log?  Thanks.

Luke - if you look at the remux log above, the url states that both the audio and video codec are not supported.  However, it is still trying to stream copy the video.  Why would that be?

The VideoCodecNotSupported is not correct. Based on the url i would expect it to remux, which it is.

Okay, so the open question still is why won't those items play directly - I don't know what it is about them but the player cannot handle it and just hangs up.  I think the three or so topics out here are all this same problem.

 

@@maegibbons can I get one of these recordings please?

Yes 1.14.43g fixes the issue thanks.

 

Fire TV version not updated as yet.
